Congratulations to all 2021 Indigenous Graduates

As a graduate of the Class of 2021, it is my hope that you are taking a moment to enjoy and cherish the reward of your hard work. A university degree is a well-earned achievement. Your strength, resilience and persistence has led you to this level of academic attainment, even in the face of these unprecedented times.

You have now become a lifelong member of the UWindsor Alumni Association – a community that fosters pride and celebrates success. In addition to your connection with the Alumni Association, UWindsor’s Turtle Island hopes to remain in contact with you. From time to time, we would like to invite you to attend events, share your story, to ask for your guidance, and keep you informed. In the near future, graduates will be contacted via email from UWindsor Turtle Island for an opportunity to stay in touch. Alternatively, please visit the Aboriginal Education Centre - Indigenous Alumni page and sign up for the Turtle Island Indigenous alumni mailing list with your personal email so you can stay in touch with everything the University is doing to support Indigenous students and ways of learning.

You are the future and you will help to make a better society and world. You are the inspiration for those who follow you and look up to you because they will see themselves reflected in you. Among all that you will achieve in the years to come, this contribution alone to future Indigenous students is valuable and significant.
